Aramid pulp is the product of microfibrillation of para-aramid fiber filaments. In the process of microfibrillation, due to the special mechanical action, the surface of the filament is partially destroyed, forming a large number of dendritic microfibers connected with the precursor. Therefore, aramid pulp not only has the high strength of aramid filament, but also has a high specific surface area.
Aramid pulp is mainly used to produce high-performance friction materials and gaskets.
